Sure, get his flight number and wait for him just outside the inspection stations where all debarking passengers must pass.  I think there are benches there.

You can no longer wait at the arrival area.  But you can meet him where you pick up the bags for Continental.

Don't count on arriving first if it's close.  Airlines are getting really bad on not flying on time.

Well this can be tricky since Continental Airlines arrives and United airlines in Terminal 3..You wont be able to wait for him at the Gate but you guys could meet at The United airlines baggage claim or at one of the many restaurants Orlando airport has.Airport rules usually doesn't let you go through security unless you have a boarding pass for a flight departing from that terminal.Exception would be if he was a minor and you were the parent meeting him.
