  1. The conflicts can  be brutal - more brutal than the lack of improvement.

I've just finished an unpaid leave and looking forward to good back.  But that's because improvements have been made to the physical space and people were moved within the office - making for better social dynamics.

Feel free to look for a new position  but as others have  posted here - the job market is  sketchy right now.  While looking  for work I would  see how you could communicate with your coworkers to create better harmony.

  2. I'm in the same position and I'm planning on leaving possibly this week.

You really need to be in your own business, and I'm going to concentrate on mine. Working for others, especially the further you are from being a manager of some sort is demoralizing, degrading and is virtually being a slave.

Once you fall into the job world, it's hard to get out of it, and people will automatically assume you're a dummy, quite often.

Having your own business maintains interest, and the best part is going to work on Monday. You'll feel there aren't enough hours in the day.

Most people have become conditioned to think "job." Jobs, while great for buidling character for young people, stink. I only fell back into it because of some bad decisions I made in my business previously.

Surely, there is something you can do on your own that will give you satisfaction, while restoring your dignity as a human being.

P.S. Regarding "nice guy's" comment below: See, this is a prime example of what I was saying about it being hard to get out of the job world once you're in it. Notice how he says "until you find a new one." There will be no end to this vicious cylce and the "job" way of thinking, unless you put an end to it.

Although it might be somewhat of an improvement if you absolutely have to, don't think only about "finding a new one." START YOUR OWN BUSINESS. Do housecleaning, or anything! Spray paint house numbers on curbs. It's not that hard, and you can be a CEO/entrepreneur.

Learn to give people more than what they expected and you can gain a lot of referrrals. Your business could grow by leaps and bounds, but you have to make the move. Okay, I'll concede that the best, if you can do it, would be to do a job while developing your business, for right now.

P.P.S. If that job is offering you no opportunity for advancement, then they most likely have contempt for you and want you to remain as a worker bee / slave. It's especially bad and you should leave as soon as you can.

  3. Please try to analyze the root cause for the frustration !.

If it is on account of your present working environment, please change the job !!

  4. Everyone's situation is different, but it sounds like you're ready to move on.  Start searching now.  Don't quit your existing job until you find a new one.  Stay on good terms with your present employer, and don't say nasty things about them.

  5. The job market is very weak right now, lots of people being layed off, etc. so new job offerings are flooded with hundreds of applicants. Try to find something while you are employed, send out resumes and see if you get some good replies. If not, try to make the best of your current job until things get better.
