  1. It sounds like you are going into law for the wrong reasons.

Let me tell you this, there is no field of law that is easier than the other to study. People tend to choose an area of law which interest them, something which they want to pursue later in life, studying a different area because it is easier or harder is pointless and a waste of money since within 12 months you will be looking for a different career.

As for the most money: corporate offers that but be warned you spend the first 2-4 years doing nothing but writing briefs, filing paperwork... nothing more than law clerk with a J.D.

  2. Agree with CPG.  Choosing a "career" based on how hard or easy it is to "get through" is not smart.  You don't want to be stuck in a job that you don't enjoy.  It makes for a long road to retirement.  Specialize in what interests you.  Criminal law has alot of interesting sciences that go along with it, but the pay may not always reflect the difficulties you deal with.  Civil/corporate law pays better.  You get into lawsuits against companies that could provide a substantial reward if you win.  But like CPG said, you're going to be a "paper pusher" for a while and the job might not be that exciting when compared to the criminal side.

Before all of this......you need to graduate highschool first, get accepted to a college and work in your undergraduate for a while until you get your prerequisites out of the way and take your LSAT.  When and IF you pass your LSAT......you have to apply to a college with a law degree program and get accepted.  You have plenty of time and obstacles to overcome first before you need to decide which way you want to go.
