iam taking my laptop in the car as iam driving can iget a wifi hotspot where i can use the internet in the car???

how does that work..

I have a bulit in wireless LAN already...

  1. Well.. In the car in the parking lot, yes. As you are driving along? Maybe, but only very briefly unless you happen upon a city doing city-wide wifi. Wifi uses pretty low-power signals. If you try to connect while driving along, you'll likely be out of range before you even finish connecting. If you truly want mobile wireless internet, you'd need a broadband wireless card like one of these http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store... and a data plan from the mobile phone carrier you bought it from.

    If you're willing to park for a minute, many Starbucks have free wifi for customers. Panera's (not sure how big the chain is, but it's all over the mid-Atlantic) does as well. Many hotels/motels have free wifi as well.

  2. yes you can. if you have a wireless lan, connect using wifi where u get the connection. the sytem should automatically search for wifi connections.
