No, you dont have any problems, it depends on how long your travelling for,  the british travel assoiciation give indian visas for travel which are for 6mnths, so it depends on your holiday peroid you can only stay till -

Unless it's changed in the last few years, Indian visas (for Brits) are 6 month, multiple entry.

If I remember correctly.  First time I was there was for three months and then again for longer than that with trips to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in between.
