Hi everyone as the question says I am looking to Immigrate to Australia hopefully with in a year’s time I have been looking into it for some time and I am not sure I will be able to get granted a permanent visa as I have no skill that is on the wanted skills documentation all I have is 4 years of retail work and rough management skills and a level 2 UK qualification in Art and Design and a level 3 UK qualification in Music Production and although these skills aren’t relevant to any useful trade I am a creative and dynamic young thinker 18 years of age English as my first language and willing to do any job live in any place if it means being able to settle in Australia later in life.

I would be willing to learn any trade skill such as Plumbing Carpentry as I have a great passion for anything hands on and active but would prefer to learn it there.

What I want to know (if any of you have managed to read this far) is

Is there any hope of me being granted a visa to live in Australia

thanx

  1. Sounds like you are pretty determined to come on over to down under land!

If you are in the UK go to the EXPO on how to live and work in Australia that is coming up in 2 weeks http://expo-australia.com/

Meanwhile check out the following websites

  2. nah u got no chance, you can do a working holiday visa tho for 1 year, thats what i did. A few of m8 m8s got aussie girlfriends which could be an idea then you'll be sorted for a visa.

  3. Go to this website:  http://www.migrationexpert.com/australia...

and take the quiz to determine if you are eligible on points to migrate there.  Oz has a 100 point system which is based on many factors.  The factors change as the economic conditions of the country change.  One year they might need doctors, the next, engineers, the next nurses.  Your young age will give you alot of points as will your English skills.  If you have relatives there, that will be points too.  I too thought I wouldn't qualify but it turned out I barely did.  If I were you, if you haven't already, take a one year WORKING HOLIDAY VISA and thoroughly experience the country first before you commit to emigrating.  They accept everyone from the UK and you'll actually be able to work while on holiday.  I did it and it was one of the best experiences of my life backpacking around the country.  Good luck and never give up on your dreams!

  4. Probably not, Australia is really strict on immagration and things like that.

  5. I heard on the radio that australlia was looking for skilled workers so if you were to become a plumber or carpenter then you might have a chance of getting in

  6. well   get yourself qualified....  in a specific  area... then give it a try.....

but   its not actually as wonderful as it seems.... do a six month working trip first...  (not with all the trekkers.... I mean in the real world )

you will need to remember to pay for docs and meds and dental treatment and decent schooling when the time comes...........

  7. it is very competitive to gain a permanant visa. EVERYONE WANTS TO BE AUSSIE! the easiest way would be to find  a wife. lol. but we have a shortage of tradespeople, so if you could aquire a trade that wud be beneficial. also nurses r in shortage, but thats a real career change i guess.

depending on where ur from also affects ur chances, along with ur eduction level. the higher the better

  8. plumbing buiding nursing they ar all careers tha are needed there

  9. normally people who come to Australia have to work for three months then they get a year visa to be here then when that year is up you gotta work again or just stay in the same job and you will be fine

  10. Don't bother, just come to Britain, we are not fussy, there is some half assed attempt to fool the thick disgruntled voters that it is tightining up, but it is not.  No the lazier and more kids you shell out, especially if you pretend they have difficult to prove disalilities the more luxury you will enjoy.  Jump on the bandwagon before, the band plays for the last time

  11. And there was me thinking you wanted help with your bags !!

    Good luck kid..

  12. without skills you don't have allot of hope, and to learn a trade would take years

once you have learned a  trade you have to have at last 2 years experience before applying to immigrate under the skilled worker program

  13. Check out the points system on the Australian migration website and then pick a suitable job that's in demand!
