Iam not able complete remove virus from pc

Question

i have windows xp, it was attacked by trojan virus. the system was running by antivirus mcafee,it was showing deleted virus all it detected when it was starting scanning now its ok everything fine, but the problem is it repeating the deleted virus again when i restart the system. so some body can help me to not repeat the virus thanks .
