  1. I moved to a different town right before I started 9th grade so I didn't know ANYONE.

I was freaking out pretty bad too, but you make friends fast in all of your different classes and it doesn't take long until you find your niche.

    Don't worry, you'll be fine.

  2. You shouldn't be afraid of high school, I wasn't and everything went fine (last year).  But not knowing anyone, that makes it tough.  Just make sure to stick to the people you do know, and once you feel comfortable, you shouldn't be too afraid to venture out and meet new people.  Just don't be shy, and good luck.  And d**n, how early do you start school?!

  3. Yeah when I went to high school most of my friends were going to a different high school as well ( same for middle school.) Yeah, and I thought high school might be a little odd/ scary but it wasn't at all ( although I did have relatives at the school.) I'm also sure there are tons of other kids worried about where to sit at lunch, so your not the only one.

  4. I'm just about to start highschool too, and though I'm going to the public hs with a lot of kids from my school, I know people who are going to other highschools where very few kids from our old school our going.  From talking to them, my biggest tip for you would be to get involved and meet as many new people as possible BEFORE school starts.  My one friend was really nervous until they met some older kids and kids from their sports teams and now they're excited.  The best thing to do is to meet new people, I think. :]

  5. You're in luck, High school chicks have bigger sweater bumpers.

Just be yourself and don't sweat the small stuff.

  6. dont worry about it, Im starting high school wednesday it was suppose to be tomorrow but school was cancelled due to tropical storm Fay. but im not worried and you shoulnt either email me if you have any questions

  7. Don't worry about anything! Highschool is soooo much fun and you will make friends quickly and easily because most of the other freshmans will be in the same situation. I dont know what freshman friday is but it its anything like "grade 9 day" at my school where grade 9s apparently get paddled and drawn on with highlighters and stuff, IT DOESN'T HAPPEN! You'll laugh at how scared you were later on. and you're not the only one who's scared, most kids probably are.

  8. well if you are not shy and good looking you make it out fine.(truth)

to sit at lunch, don't if your a freshman, walk the school(if you can)

and walk with a friend or some one you met that day.

just do you home work and you will pass.

oh btw get in a sport.

don't stare at girls chest LOL.

well don't look like a fool getting lost.

the upper class man will laugh at you.

  9. Freshman friday is a bunch of bull ****.

    dont worry about it.

    youll be fine.

just talk to lots of people,

    and dont act stuck up.

    Good luck hun(:

  10. What is Freshman Friday?!

Don't worry about it!  And that girl that was telling you all about how you have to look good to have good years in High school more towards the top and walking with friends and stuff is not true.  I may not be the best looking person but you'll find that some people at the High Schools appreciate a good friend over the s****. wanna-be bitchy friends.  Just be yourself and be nice your first time there and you'll be totally fine!

Also, you don't need to join a sport if you don't want to.  I didn't and I turned out just fine!

Just get good grades and you won't be stressed about it all.  You'll be fine! :)

It is scary the first day because I know how you feel.  I got lost and missed the bus!!  But I was fine after a week or so.

  11. I may be older but I remember this feeling exactly.   All my friends went to another school, and the only person I knew at my new school, was one of my friend's older sister.

Well, she had her own friends. Not much help there.

That is a little what orientation is for.

They show you whats going on before you start.

Orientation. Everyone present  is new at this school, friends or not. Theyre all a little nervous.

This is something I learned about age 27, that will help you all through life.

    Its called Baby Steps.

Dont get overwhelmed with the fear of the big picture. Do it in small steps.

Are you afraid to shower ?  No

    Get dressed-  No

Get a ride to school ? No

Walk in the front door of school ?  Yes

This is the fear. They know that.

Thats where someone will be there to meet you, and help you along.

Dont fear during all the steps..and days ahead of the steps. Just the big fearful step when it happens.

Once youre in the door, the adventure begins and you have so much going on .. you have little time to be afraid. Your busy doing things.    If you sit by someone in a morning class, that you like. Ask them if they would mind if you ate lunch with them, until you meet some people.   Maybe they are just as afraid.

But all in all, its a big exciting adventure. Be friendly .. thats the key.
