  1. I have ruined my hair so many times. Do NOT do it with a box of cheap dye from target. Go to one of those hair schools and they will do it for half of the price and they do a fantastic job.

  2. thats why you get pikaboo streaks, so they're underneat hyour hair so you can't see them as much as if it were on top, but you can still see em so when your hair grows out you can hide them more, it wont look dumb =]

  3. oh oh oh.

haha i have dark brown hair.

do NOT put any shade of gold in your hair.

    it will turn it orange.

haha if you want it dramatically lighter go to a professional.

if you want to add a lighter reddish brown, you could box dye it.

    i suggest perfect 10.

but since it is hair dye it will damage your hair.

redken is basically the only stuff that wont.

and you can only get that done in salons.

i box dye mine but thats only because if already experienced the professional and i know what my hair can take.

because its your first time i really suggest getting it done professionally.

and yes, as your hair grows, youll need to get it retouched.

because your roots will stay your natural color.

so unless you have the money to maintain it, dont go too dramatically different.

and please dont go blonde. hahah

  4. when you hair starts to grow, your roots will be your original hair color and the rest of your hair the dyed color.so what you should do is when you see that you need to touch up your roots, go ahead and touch them up. since you are doing a color that doesn't require you to bleach your hair then the touch ups should not be a problem for you.

  5. When you dye your hair, your hair will be extremely vulnerable. You'll begin to get split ends, and damaged hair. But if you really do dye your hair, there is no way to not have your roots begin to show, so about every 6 weeks, you'll have to dye your roots.

  6. you have to get touch ups to color your roots when your hair grows....maybe you should just get highlights
