http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) again, as he believes that his teammates, who have been shortlisted, deserve the honour better.
Bell aims at working hard and improving himself in a bid to be able to claim any of the awards next year. With a realistic approach, he does not take it as negative and thinks that perhaps his time has not come yet.
Three of the English players including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026 are among the contenders for the elite awards. The trio has been selected for their heroics in Test cricket, especially in the last Ashes.
Though Bell too has been impressive in the longer format with four centuries and five fifties in the year, he was ignored for the nominations.
Talking to the media today, Bell said, “I haven't thought too much about it. We've got a number of players who have deserved to be right up there. We've had a great 12 months and more. There are a number of players who deserved to be on that. A lot of the
team have played very well."
A grand and fabulous ICC awards ceremony is going to be held in London on the coming Monday. The ace awards include ‘Cricketer of the Year’ and ‘Test Cricketer of the Year’.
Bell is keen to bat at No 3 position in the Test cricket and prove to the world that he is a better batsman now. He is happy to have gotten this chance in his team’s recently-concluded npower Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
The batsman told, “It was good to have the opportunity. I don't think I will, and I think that's right. Trotty has been fantastic for the last two years, but I was glad to take the opportunity to show I'm a better player now than the last time I played at
three.”
In the ongoing ODI series against the same side, Bell has moved up the order in the batting line-up as a replacement of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 who is on rest these days.
