Ian Bell to Retain His Batting Order
According to the reports, unlike the expectations, the English spectators might not be able to see Ian Bell batting at an upper order, rather, it is expected that he will retain his position at number six in the fourth Test match of the Ashes series going
to be held in Melbourne.
Earlier, amid the tremendous performance displayed by the in-form batsman, there were calls to promote him up at number five as Paul Collingwood had been consistently failed to put runs on the board.
However, Andrew Strauss, the skipper of team England had apprehensions over doing so. Voicing his fears, the captain said, “I am not going to completely rule it out, but I’d be surprised if we went down that route.”
Meanwhile, good news for English spectators was that James Anderson, the prominent fast bowler of the side did not show any sign of suffering from side strain any more. Rather, he also took part into an hour long net practice today (Friday).
Anderson, who could not bowl since his side got a 267-runs defeat from the traditional Australian rivals in the third Test match held at Perth, will most probably resume his game from the fourth and crucial Test of the series. Resuming to the practice session
was not only good for the 28-year old bowler; it will also boost up the morale of the team which is going to have another battle in two days’ time.
Talking about the fitness issues of the fast bowler, Straus said, “Jimmy seems absolutely fine, he’s done quite a lot of bowling, but the side strain has settled down nicely.”
Anderson, who maintains an impressive record of taking 200 wickets in 55 Test matches, will be a key bowler England will be relying upon to mold the series in its favour all over again. As the series has entered into a thrilling and extremely entertaining
stage, it is expected that about ninety thousand people will come to see the traditional battle between the two teams.
However, whether Steve Finn, Anderson’s ball partner at Perth, will be playing the fourth Test or not, is not sure yet. This is so because despite of taking 19 wickets in the so far series, he has been given runs with an average of 3.96 per over, an average
that is too high for the Test matches.
Moreover, the fast bowler from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ajmal-Shahzad-c42489 or Tim Bresnan would be replacing him at Melbourne. However, when asked from Strauss about the possibility of Finn
playing in the Fourth match, he insisted that the bowler was completely fit and was going to represent England in the coming match.
