Paul Lambert has been joined by Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa at Aston Villa, with the pair leaving Norwich City to join the backroom staff at Villa Park.
Culverhouse and Karsa have been with Lambert for over six years, during his time in charge at Wycombe, Colchester and Norwich City. After Lambert decided to quite Norwich City to join Aston Villa, the pair followed suit and will shortly be reunited with
him at the club.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City defender Culverhouse will be joining Aston Villa as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert’s assistant manager, while Karsa will be made the head of football operations at the English Premier League side.
Lambert revealed he was extremely pleased to have both Culverhouse and Karsa at Aston Villa, especially since he had a brilliant understanding with both of them, having worked with them for over six years at different clubs. He said he was looking forward
to start working with them again.
Lambert said on the club’s official website:

They have been with me for the past six years, which is a long time, and we've built up an understanding and a trust. I trust them and they have been great for me.

The English defender Culverhouse began his career with Tottenham Hotspur in 1982, leaving for Norwich City in 1985, where he rose to prominence. He went on to make 297 appearances in the League and scored one goal before heading off to Swindon Town.
After short spells at Kingstonian and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brighton-c38685 & Hove Albion, Culverhouse retired as a football player and began his managerial career. He started at Brighton in 2000, moving to Barnet where he first worked with Karsa after which he joined Leyton Orient.
In 2005 he joined Wycombe, beginning work with Lambert a year later in 2006, with the two men having worked together since then. They have been reunited at another club once again, with the aim to lead Aston Villa to a better finish in the English Premier
League.
