First , I ask that you would all keep him in your thoughts or atleast hope the surgery goes well. He's a young guy who plays his heart out. We miss him so much. :[

Question: How would you handle your favorite player going down with on the DL? Would you wish him the best? Or would it hit hard & upset you?

Thanks. I appreciate it. Also, if your gonna be rude please don't bother answering..

  1. I don't think you're really asking a question. It's possible to both wish him the best and have it hit hard and upset you. It's not like he did anything wrong, he plays a sport for a living and almost every athlete has to go through something similar at one stage of his or her career.

Having said that, I wish him well, hope he gets to spend some time focusing on what he needs to do to get better, and that he jumps right back into his amazing career when his health allows.

  2. I'm sorry about Kinsler. I wish him the best of luck in his surgery and I will keep him in my thoughts.

One of my favorite players, Eric Chavez has pretty much been on the DL the whole year, i was pretty upset, because when he did play, he did GREAT! =]

My other favorite player, Ryan Sweeney (a rookie), has been on the DL quite a few times, I was pretty upset because he was doing great too, but I would wish all of them the best, but I still would be upset because I don't get to see my favorite players play.

    You're Welcome. Great Question. Here's a star =]

  3. I know what ur feeling RFL. Fonzy was out for about 60 games this season. So I guess it would hit me hard if he went on the DL (AGAIN!)

Kinsler was really becoming one of my favorite AL players this injury has really hurt him.

  4. he will win the title for batting so there a gud thing

  5. i love Ian Kinsler (as you might know already) he's a stud out there and i was kinda hoping he would win MVP this year but when he went down i was like gahh! oh no.. he'll be fine ^^

its a pleasure to see him play no doubt about it, he seems like a nice guy too. Him and Young i respect a lot :)

fav player going down on the DL.. oh i would be upset! I was upset when Izzy went down for season ending surgery!! nooo!!

He was so helpful. Howie Kendrick also, is great! but that hammy injury keeps on coming back and its like gosh! he's so good and has so much potential but just errrgh now i dunno when he's coming back.

    it sucks ;(

  6. sorry about kinsler. hope his surgery goes all right.

if my fav player went on the DL, i would want him to heal quickly. But if required surgery like your guy, that would suck.

  7. I wish nothing but the best for Ian Kinsler & hope his surgery comes turns out ok.  He will be fine.  I would wish the player the best when he goes down. Of course i would be concerned as well.

  8. i thought he wasnt gona have the surgery after all

hopefuly he would be good to go next season and the rangers would finally get some decent pitching so we would be a little more of a threat next season

  9. Injuries are part of baseball. Getting upset carries no benefits.

Of course one thinks best wishes unto any injured player, no matter his uniform. (About the only injury incident I can recall wherein this was not the dominant meme was the hip arthritis that ended Albert Belle's career. The media held forth barely a whiff of sympathy to him; they really despised the guy.)

  10. When it comes to baseball, just about everyone's favorite player has made an appearance on the DL. Ian Kinsler is an awesome player and I think he will recover from his surgery without much of a problem. Earlier this season my favorite pitcher Roy Oswalt was placed on the DL, and I often wonder if the astros would be closer than 6 games out of thewild card game had he not been injured. When it comes to coping with your favorite player going down, just grin and bare it and hope that the individual makes a full recovery.
