Ian Rush tips Andy Carroll to shine at Liverpool next season – EPL News
Legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 attacker, Ian Rush, believes that Andy Carroll has all the attributes to become a Kop Legend and has backed the 22-year-old striker to prove his worth at the Mersey club next season.

his services.
Much was being expected from Carroll as the 22-year-old hugely impressed during his first six months in the Barclays Premier League with Newcastle United. The English international was probably enjoying the form his life with the Toon but failed to emulate
the same feats at Anfield.
Carroll’s start to the life at Liverpool was blighted by injuries as he remained out of action for most of the term.
However, Rush believes that Carroll is a naturally gifted striker and it is always hard for any player to adjust at a club like Liverpool. The Welsh striker reckons that Carroll will shine at Anfield next season.
The legendary striker told Liverpool’s official website, “The potential is fantastic. Andy came to us with injuries last season, but in any case your first spell at a club like Liverpool is always an adjustment.”
Rush, who scored 229 goals in 469 appearances for Liverpool, also struggled in his first season at the Merseyside club. The legendary striker compared Carroll to his situation and believes that the former Newcastle United striker will soon be firing on all
cylinders.
“People forget that I struggled a bit in my first season. But I've no doubt it will come right for him - and quickly, too,” concluded Ian Rush.
The attacker featured in only seven matches for Liverpool in the last six months of the recently concluded 2010/11 Barclays Premier League season. However, the English striker showed his pure class when he scored an outstanding brace against Manchester City
at Anfield.
Carroll, who is currently nursing a knee injury, is expected to start for Liverpool in their first English Premier League fixture against Sunderland on August 13, 2011.
