The former Arsenal striker and their legendary goal scorer Ian Wright has come out and criticized the club for not taking adequate steps to keep their star players at the Emirates stadium over the past few years...
Ian Wright has launched a full scale campaign against Arsenal’s current financial policy which has allowed them to part ways with their star players over the past three seasons ever since http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918’s departure from the London
club. Wright was once a fan favourite at Arsenal a record goal scorer until Henry broke his record at the North London outfit.
In his latest comments, Wright has taken it upon himself to question the way that Arsenal football club is being run at the moment as Arsene Wenger has allowed several of his squad’s key players to leave over the past few seasons.
Last season Wenger parted ways with both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 respectively. Before that Gael Clichy was sold to Manchester City preceded by Flamini’s sale to A.C Milan. Arsenal
have been banking on their youth players but without the star power in their squad, it will be difficult for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 to attract big names to the club as there is a real threat of them dropping out of the UEFA Champions League qualification places.
He said, "How the h**l did a club of Arsenal’s standing and resources get to the point where they are forced to wave goodbye to at least one top star every year? Since Thierry Henry decided in 2007 he had to leave in order to win
the Champions League there has been a steady stream of players through the exit door at The Emirates.”
It isn’t the first time that someone has questioned the way Arsene Wenger has fashioned the club’s transfer policy but with Robin Van Persie’s recent announcement that he won’t be signing an extension to his contract with the Gunners,
things really do look bleak for the former English champions.
It still remains to be seen whether Van Persie will stay for the remainder of his contract at the club or will Wenger aim to sell him this transfer window in order to gain a sizable amount of fee for the Dutch striker.
