  1. Basically the T60 is a tough machine with firm hardware, but from an application point of view I find it getting slower and slower and some times you'll get the blue screen due to some hardware issues. I'd give it 7/10. Try looking into Toshiba and HP also...they still have better look on top of their performance.

  2. yeah, its good for basic, but if u have vista home premiiuim, get 2 gb of ram so u dont get much lag, though it is a pretty good one, because i had an old laptop with 256mb ram, and 1.3 ghz celeron, and i was able to run office 2007 ok. a secret for u. if u open say internet explorer, wait for it to load all the way, now close it. repeat a few times, and u will have a fast computer, it jump starts the ram

  3. Yes, my brother has the T40 and my brother-in-law has the T60 model. The laptops are perfect for business, but not that great for gaming. They simply use it for work and not much else. Just know that they are very poor in design and get sluggish after two years or so. If it's with Vista Home Premium, 1 GB RAM is enough. My laptop has Vista Home Premium and only 576 MB of the total 1 GB gets used for basic things like Word processing and internet browsing.

So it's well suited for business work, but obviously not that great for gaming. 7 of 10 is my rating for the IBM/Lenovo T60. This link gives you a review of it.
