Ibrahimovic admits Juventus were better than A.C Milan but remains upbeat of his team’s chances
Juventus beat A.C Milan 2-0 in the Week 6 game of the 2011/12 Serie A at the Juventus Arena on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011. Claudio Marchisio’s brace in the dying minutes of the game prevented Milan from taking an undeserved
point after a poor display.
A.C Milan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, believes that his team played poor football and Juventus deserved to win the game.
The Turin giants reclaimed their top spot on the league table while misery compiled for the Rossoneri as their defence of Scudetto looks a mountainous task now. The 2010/11 Italian Champions have picked up only five points from
as many games thus far and have suffered defeats against two of the Scudetto candidates, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Juventus.
Ibrahimovic praised his former employers for playing a wonderful game and believes that the score-line justifies their performances. The Swedish international believes that Antonio Conte’s men outplayed them in every department
and his team was below par.
While talking to the reporters, Ibrahimovic said, “It was a tough game, they were better than us. The result is the right one. They were better on all levels. We didn’t get our game together. Congratulations to them for a match
well played.”
However, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 star is upbeat that his team will bounce back strongly once their star players return from injury. Milan are missing several of their first-team stars through injuries and Ibrahimovic believes that
is the main reason for their slow start to the season.
The 30-year-old insists that the team is as good as the last season and is confident that they will start performing well after the international break.
“We’ll get back to work after the international break. We’ve had a lot of injuries including [Alexandre] Pato, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 and many others. We’re as good as we were last season, that’s for sure; we just need to be patient. When we
get our rhythm back, we’ll beat them all.” added the star striker
Milan will host Palermo in their next league game on October 15th, 2011. On the other hand, Juventus will face giant killers, Chievo Verona, in their next league match.
