Ibrahimovic feeling ageing effect but wants to play for few more years: Serie A news
A.C Milan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, believes that he is getting into the latter stages of his playing career but feels that he still has few years left in him before calling it a day.
The Swedish international expressed these thoughts on his 30th birthday on Monday and added that the time has passed so quickly. The striker admitted that he did not realise how quick the time is moving probably because of the switch of teams in recent years. The former Ajax star has switched four teams in the last five years.
Ibrahimovic said, “I'm starting to age, the time has passed quickly, but I definitely plan on playing for a few more years.”
Ibrahimovic left Juventus to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in a swap move with Samuel Eto’o. The Swedish international did not enjoy the best of times at the Camp Nou and after falling out with manager, Pep Guardiola, he joined A.C Milan last summer.
The Swede made an instant impact at the San Siro and played a huge role in helping his side to win the Scudetto after seven years.
Ibrahimovic believes that he feels more mature now as compared to past three or four years and this is probably because of the family responsibilities. The striker has no definite plans after his retirement and does not want to think about it for the time being.
“Now, I feel more mature because I have two children. Time has passed quickly, I moved between several teams and that made things go quickly. Once I stop playing I will begin to enjoy life. When will I retire? I do not know, but I want to go on for a while.”
The former Barcelona star also commented on his team’s 2-0 defeat to Juventus few days back and admitted that his team did not play at their usual standards.
“I do not think we had the potential to do more in that game. I will celebrate [his birthday] with my family, and then focus on my commitments with the national team.”
