Ibrahimovic oozes confidence at Milan
AC Milan's new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that his new club's attacking line should intimidate any and every opponent.
Ibrahimovic was his confident self during his first press conference at Milan, throwing verbal blows at his two previous clubs, Barcelona and Inter Milan, while citing the greatness of his new employer.
"I think Milan are greater than Barcelona if you look at the history," said Ibrahimovic, who left Barcelona after his place in the club's starting eleven looked uncertain. "I don't know what the problem was at Barcelona, but [Milan owner Silvio] Berlusconi convinced me to come here."
Eyeing European success
The striker, who scored two goals for the Swedish national team against San Marino on Tuesday, has yet to win the Champions League despite entering the play-offs with Ajax, Juventus, Inter and Barcelona.
Ibrahimovic claimed he is more motivated than ever before, and the European trophy will be one of his highest priorities in his first season with Massimiliano Allegri's team.
"When you have a great team like Milan then you are favourites to win the Champions League and Scudetto. Now that I am back in Italy I am hungrier than I was last time I was here. I always enter things to win and if I don't then I have made a mistake."
World-class attack
With Berlusconi having orchestrated deals for world-class strikers Ibrahimovic and Robinho in the same week, manager Allegri has been left with an abundance of attacking options. Robinho, Pato and Filippo Inzaghi were already at the club.
"With Robinho, Milan have shown that other teams should be scared of us. We can win everything," Ibrahimovic said, before adding: "We have five of the strongest strikers in the world. Pippo Inzaghi is a phenomenon as well."
Milan play their next league game Cesena on Saturday and face Auxerre in the Champions League on Wednesday.
