Ibrahimovic will play against Parma despite injury – Milan coach Allegri
AC Milan tactician Massimiliano Allegri is expecting a tough match against Parma FC on Saturday and has thus revealed that star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is likely to play from the starting whistle.
“We have some doubts in midfield but Ibrahimovic will play despite his problem.”
Milan must use the former Barcelona star appropriately. Ibrahimovic is very likely to aggravate his injury, if the problem is not properly taken care off. Such a move can fire back as the moody forward might get upset with the club hierarchy.
Ibrahimovic has been the saviour for Milan this season as the forward has hit the back of the net with a renewed regularity. Ibra scored the winner against Genoa with an audacious lob that justifies his hefty pay cheque. Ibrahimovic is the top scorer for
Milan until now, as the lanky Swede has scored an impressive 5 goals in seven appearances. The victory was Milan’s first in four matches. Inter’s loss to Roma meant Milan had cut the Nerazzuri’s lead at the top of the table to just 2 points.
On a positive note, sensational Brazilian Alexandre Pato will return to the starting eleven after it was revealed that he has recovered from his adductor strain. Milan will breathe a sigh of relief on Pato’s return, as the club found it hard to find a replacement
for the Brazilian on the right wing. AC Milan tried playing Kevin-Prince Boateng on the wing in the Brazilian’s absence but the move did not pay off as the Ghana International was unable to provide the natural width. Robinho was pointed out as a solution but
the former Manchester City forward has been struggling with fitness.
Massimiliano Allegri also had the time to respond to Seedorf’s criticism. The outspoken Dutch legend has criticised Milan for playing a long ball game despite having a strong midfield. Milan has been playing a lot of long balls in recent matches as the tactic
suites Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“There is no issue between me and Seedorf, everything was cleared up.”
