  1. sounds like a good idea unfortunately i never do it.

  2. I would I mean anything involving skating to train for hockey is great. It will help your speed for sure, and probably keep you more stable.

  3. during off season all of my friends (they are all high school players) inline skate   they use the bauer skates that are just like hockey skates

  4. Yes this is great excerisize. I played all levels of hockey all the way up to some juniors after high school and i would always be outside skating on my inlines. It is pretty much the same thing. I mean yes if you skate on your inlines for a few weeks and than hop on the ice for a few minutes it will feel a little strange but than everything will go back to normal. So keep on skating buddy!!!!!

  5. Growing up in Queens NY we did not have much access to ice in the summer.  I had an old pair of hockey skates (at that time they were only sold in plastic boots) converted into Rollerblades.  i work on everything including my stride with them.  I think they are one of the biggest reasons i was able to play hockey at the level I did.

I can not think of one disadvantage.  Any time you can train it is good.

  6. I play ice and roller hockey. Do you still want my insight?

  7. Yes it is great for keeping your legs in shape and getting your speed up. As far as turns crossovers and hard sharp cuts, you will not get that on wheels so done expect to increase your agility as much as add power and speed.

Although as an ice goalie I refused to play goal in blades, only ice or foot. Inlines will throw your goalie "slide" off bad.
