  1. yes I think we need to worry when huge pieces of continental ice shelves begin to break off,if you look at satellite pictures from the Canadian Arctic there is a huge difference in the polar ice sheet from 20 years ago to today and every year the Arctic ice coverage is less and the thickness of the ice is reported less

  2. By ice rocks do you mean ice bergs? If so a huge ice shelf is breaking up off the coast of Antarctica right now.

Shelf ice is floating on sea ice and does not increase sea level as it melts. However once a shelf is gone it means that the glacier behind it can move ice more rapidly into the sea, and that does raise ocean levels. So far ocean levels in the past century have risen by something like 10 cm., but the potential is much higher.

Sometimes land along the coast subsides - that is, it sinks. This is what is happening on the coast of Louisiana, where the Mississippi river used to dump huge amounts of silt into

the delta. That river water is no channeled to dump further out to sea. The result is that tht whole delta is sinking.

Yes, global warming is causing erosion along sea shores everywhere, especially during storms., which have become more frequent due to global warming. If things keep going on like this, the entire state of Florida will be under water in a hundred years or so.

    Bright blessings to you,

    Gawaine

  3. No, global warming is mainly natural.
