  1. I would definitely recommend using heat activated reinforcements in ice skates because t helps the boot mold better to your foot. Getting my skates heated was defiantly worth for the comfort because it helped get used to the skates faster. It did not discolor the boot in anyway. You should definitely get it done because you will feel more comfort. and dont do it your self get it done professionaly at a pro shop

  2. For it to mold to your feet, woulden you have to be in the oven too.?..............I wouldn't do it

  3. There is no discoloration. I did it tons of times with my riedell boots, and they were as white and perfect as ever!!! (until I scuffed them up while doing my axels, double salchows, and double loops)

  4. You get this done at the pro shop you bought your skates at. It's a special over.. not your own!

  5. It wouldn't turn them yellow and whatever you do, don't do it yourself. Go to a skate shop and have them do it. They have a special oven.

  6. No,  what makes them turn yellow are the oil secretions in your sweat.

They started doing this with hockey skates when the Bauer 7000's came out years ago.

  7. no it wont make them go yellow if u take them to ur local rink or skating shop if the have an oven the will do it 4 u
