  1. I heard that it's really comfortable if you do it, and no it will not discolor the boot. But one of the pro shop guys told me that when you bake it, the materials in the boot would break down faster than they normally would. ( What would break down in 10 years would take only 1 year for baked boots )

  2. It just molds the skates to your feet making them more comfortable and helping with the breaking-in process. I would get it if your ankles hurt or if there are any tight spots. Its not too expensive (sometimes free, my shop it is $15) and you only have to heat them once unless you go without wearing them at all for a few months.

It will not discolor the boot in any way

  3. yes i would totally recommend it, it makes them so much more comfortable. and i never found it to discolour the boots

  4. I would definitely recommend using heat activated reinforcements in ice skates because t helps the boot mold better to your foot. Getting my skates heated was defiantly worth for the comfort because it helped get used to the skates faster. It did not discolor the boot in anyway. You should definitely get it done because you will feel more comfort.

  5. Heat moldible boots are really awesome. They contour to the shape of your foot, and help break in your boots faster. I always use them. Using them in a home oven is fine, don't worry. The only thing to worry about is that you can't leave them in the trunk of a car for too long, or they'll remold into a weird shape and you'll have to redo them. It doesn't discolor the boot in any way. I totally recommend it!!!
