  1. I personally know of three separate people who bought skates online - Riedell blue ribbons, in fact. In all three cases they had to ditch those skates because of sizing issues.  For whatever reason, it's very difficult to predict what size you're going to need.

A trick you can do is to go to a pro shop that sells Riedells and try them on, and decide what size to get that way.  Then buy them off the internet.  But even then, you're giving up a lot because when you buy them from a pro shop, they will adjust them for you as part of the service.  What that means is that they'll push out the ankle a little over your ankle bone, or your skate might fit everywhere but the ball of your foot needs a tad more room and they can punch it out for you.  This will make a big difference in the fit of your skate.  They'll also sharpen your skates for you.

When you figure in shipping it's not a good deal. You need the help of a pro. These are the most expensive shoes you're going to own, it's worth the extra $20 to get it from a live person!

  2. Im not sure what size you would be but I would always suggest getting skates in person so you can try on different ones. The point in doing this is to get the best fit and comfort. If for some reason you cant do this then look at size charts on different web sites such as     http://www.skates.com/Fitting-Riedell-sk...   . Another thing is most places you order skates from online will allow you to return them if they do not fit as long as they are in the same condition you got them in and you have Not shapened the blades. But before you order them make sure that the website says you can return them if they havent been sharpened...Good Luck!

  3. I don't think your measurements are correct, never the less. I would not buy skates on line. They should be fitted by a professional. In general you want your shoe size or sometimes smaller, but I wouldn't risk it.
