Ice Skate sizes?

I am a size 6 in ice skates in Australia, and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the equivalent is in Europe, the US and the UK?

My shoe size is 6, but my skates are a size 5. They're custom-fitted though, so I feel secure in them. (:

I think the sizes vary. Depends on the brand and such.

Hey,

When i first went i was really confused people say get a size bigger and some say get a size smaller.

But i got a 7 when im a 6 (size bigger) and i did nothing but fall

Now i get a 6 so my tip is get the same size.
