Question:

Ice Skating Music?

I'm looking for music to skate to. I wanna showcase more flexibility and grace instead of speed and power. Something classical with a techno twist would be kinda cool. I've already looked at sonic edge, sk8tunes, and skatemusiclist and i haven't found anything i really love so if you could help me out that would be great!!

  1. try secret garden. Their songs are excellent for graceful skating.

from OST of a film is nice too

  2. Do in the hall of the mountain king techno remix! It's classical and techno!

Here is a you tube vid that is from ddr with the song

  3. Most skating music if not all sucks! Find a song you like that you listen to normally and just have it edited to remove any words or such. Most coach's can do it for you, for a fee of course. I do know of one song that seems to fit what you might be looking for but I plan to skate to it, so if you want it you gotta email me for it.

  4. Soundtrack from:

    The Holiday (Hans Zimmer)

    Forrest Gump

    Little Women

    While you were sleeping

    Pirates of the Caribbean

  5. I usually get my music from my coach, and i usually tell him what i like and he gets me the perfect song

    :)

  6. Try some compilation cd's - ie. the clasical chillout albums or any classic cds.

ask grandparents too. turns out they have skateable music. lol.

my favourite musics include 'Yanni' [a composer] and theme tunes from movies [ie. Pirates of the C etc.]

    Good Luck :).x

  7. Raindrops are falling on my head.

  8. Jam and spoon "Run in the Night" and "Stella" they do have enough non vocal to make nice edits.

  9. have you tried looking at itunes?

go to itunes and type in "audio body"

once you click the right CD it should say "sound. motion. theater" somewhere

then look down the list til you find "star gazer" it has no people singing and a GREAT ice skating song!!

  10. the mighty duck  theme tune is a rely good one or even high school musical backtracks thats what i used in my last one or if u download limewire you can get whatever you want

  11. If you want something classical with a techno twist, look for stuff by the group Bond.  4 classically trained female musicians that take popular classical songs and add a little zest to them.  You can hear clips from all of their CD's on iTunes.

  12. The Sprout and the Bean.

    It's very calm and soothing.

Just get the words edited out.
