Ice Skating artistic programme music?

My friend and I have decided this year to to a group artistic programme. There are 5 judges (as below) and all judges mark on entertainment value.

Judge 1-Technical Merit

Judge 2-Artistic Impression

Judge 3- Musical Interpretation

Judge 4-Choreography

Judge 5-Costume/props

Can anyone suggest and music? - 2 1/2 mins, CAN have lyrics.

Well, the rule of mouth should be when choosing music is: Is it skateable?

While one of your friends might love a song by 50 Cent, that kind of music doesn't have the ups and downs to make a program interesting. I knew a lot of low level skaters that actually skated to Mambo No. 5 which is a fun and perky song, but the tempo never changes.

The second rule is that it must be music you like and that it's at a speed that isn't too fast for your skating at this moment.

The third is that it should be music that people will like even if they don't recognize it but it grabs their attention. Since you are allowed lyrics, you have a lot of music to choose from. Doesn't have to be in english either!

The music from Kill Bill has some great beats that would be great for an artistic routine that could be fun to do in a group. You could do like Beatrix vs the Crazy 88 and whoever Lucy Liu's character is called but wears the cool white kimono. You could make it with smaller sleeves and a short skirt or something and do figures synchronized or something. The downpart would be whether props could be allowed, some people might not the idea of a routine with acted violence and 2:30 minutes is too short for a routine that would require a lot of money ivested in costumes.

If it's more for small kids, Disney music works everytime even though it's been done so many times already.
