  1. In the midwest leasing ice for 50 minutes will cost you $180-$300 depending on the time of day. After midnight and before 8am are usually non prime time ice and it will be a lot less.  Call the ice arena that you were intrested in as ask them for prices.

I hope this works out for you.

    Another note...

Ask if a hockey team might be canceling ice that week. They may also post signs some where in the arena.  They usually contract many hours of ice that and some times that can't use it and they sell it at a very reduced rate.

  2. I am not sure how much it costs. But you would have to call and ask your local rink. I would do it as soon as possible because most places they have to book it a certain amount of time before that day.

    Hope it helps.

  3. What a romantic idea!

Private ice cost depends on the rink . . . but it can be pricey . . . $200/$300 or so per hour.  And the times available may be really late at night (or real early in the morning) . . . but you could get lucky (especially with a last minute cancellation someone else may make).

Best thing to do is call the rink.  You might find their website at this rink locator http://www.arenamaps.com/ (by city/state) for general info on private ice . . . but still you would have to call . . . they will probably want a deposit.

It's possible there might be food restrictions ON the ice, so you might ask about that too.  It could get really cold sitting on the ice anyway . . . the bleachers/benches or in a hockey booth might be better.  Take advantage of that private expensive ice time to skate (make sure rentals will be available as well if you don't have your own skates)!!

    Have fun!!
