Refrigerator ice and even built in drinking water tastes funny. I will try storing meat in plastic bags.

  1. Do you have a filter on the water lines to your refrigerator?  If not, that could be the problem.....

  2. arm and hammer soda helps a lot, clean freezer, start fresh, dump old ice, clean trays, clean the whole fridge

  3. Defrost the freezer and clean well, even a small area of blood from meat can contaminate the other frozen goods, if they are foods that "soak up the smell".   Ice is probably capturing the smell of other foods in the freezer.  Most side by side refrigerators have a filter on it, might look into changing that.

  4. Are you storing meat in your freezer unwrapped?
