Ice maker seems to be overflowing with water

Question

Kenmore model# 59767990 side by side. My ice maker is not functioning properly since a power outage. The water seems to be spraying around the entrance to the ice maker. The storage area has ice frozen on it as though the tray has overflowed with water. I was told to adjust s***w at front side of the unit, but I'm not sure what the original setting should be or which way to turn in order to increase or decrease the setting. When turned to left it seems to decrease water amount.
