  1. you just lace them up like reguloar tennis shoes. its fairly simple.Theres no specific way to lace them.

  2. The same way as you would put them in your tennis shoes. Whether you stick them in the hole starting from the inside an pull them towards the outside, or start from the outside and pull towards the inside is personal preference.

  3. The criss-crossing through the eyelets (holes) is just like your tennis shoes, but you need to lace your skates really tight around the ankles.  Many people have problems keeping the ankles from loosening while they're skating; to keep the laces from "evening out," it is good to put overhand twists into your laces as you put on your boots.  An overhand twist is just like the first part of tying your shoes; you loop one lace over the other and pull tight so that the laces have switched sides when you are done.

I recommend looking at this website: http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lacingme...

The "Knotted Lacing" shows the overhand twist between every eyelet, while the "Criss Cross Lacing" shows what you should do in between the overhand twists.  I put the twists into my lacing strategically; I put one in at the bottom of the extratight area around my ankles and one at the top, allowing me to have the top hook a little looser to allow my leg to bend more.

Remember, you need to get your heel ALL THE WAY into the back of the boot before you begin lacing to prevent foot moving (and lots and lots of blisters).  Also, if you can bend your ankles in toward each other, you are not tying the ankle area tight enough.  I would discourage wearing socks, as they allow your foot to move around a lot and sometimes cause blisters.  Wear tights/skating kneehighs or go barefoot.  Good luck breaking in your boots; it will be painful but worth it!

  4. You would lace them like your shoes. Start from the bottom and work your way up.

Below is a link on how to lace them up..

  5. ICE SKATES ARE NOT YOUR TENNIS SHOES!

just remember that while lacing. lace them tight and properly

criss-cross lace them like you would a normal shoe but make sure they are tight and secure when you put them on.

also since they are new. they are going to feel wierd so put some blade guards on them and walk around the house for 10-15 minutes to get them a little more bendable.
