  1. I personally dont really like either. MK gold stars are really good for where you are at. if they are to expensive you can get an imitation for about 200 cheaper (they are normally 500). Check them out online!

They have a nice rocker for really great spins (Super fast, super centered), cross toe pick (Double toe, double lutz, double flip) so your toe wont slide on those.

And the toe pick isnt too big, its just right for jumps, but wont get in the way for spins/spirals that much.

They are an adjustment, but it only takes a week and then your spins get super fast, and your jumps can get pretty darn big. (good if you have an under rotation problem)

If not, go with phantom. My friend who is about where you are (maybe a bit farther) is kicking butt with them. Yeah and the toe pick is kinda big...

  2. I used the Phantoms for 6 months and hated them. The Toe pick might be nice if you want to nab a bit of height in a Toe Loop or a Flip to try to get the double without relying on technique, but you risk bad falls and thus injuring your knees the way I did.

Phantom + Forward Telephone Spiral = Bad.

Try them out if your Toe assisted jumps are very low, but if their height is fine, you might be better off trying a different blade instead.

I've never used Visions before. I currently use Professional Parabolics and love them.

  3. The Vision is a good blade for doubles as is the Phantom.  The Phantom toe pick is a really big aggressive toe pick.  I would suggest that if your feet are NOT growing anymore, then go with the Phantom.  If you think you are going to need new skates next year because you will grow out of them, I would go Vision and then move up to Phantom next time.

When I skated competitively back in the day, I went from Professionals straight into Phantoms when I was working on my doubles.  They introduced the Vision after I had Phantoms so it was not an option at the time.  I have been on Phantoms ever since and love them as a blade.

  4. i lve phantoms i had them and they were great and worked really well for doubles but if your dont want a big toe pick i would get somthing else but opther than that there great
