  1. Hi i dont think its a problem

  2. As long as your skates fit you properly and don't impede your skating it shouldn't matter what colour they are. Mine are black, think they are boys actually but can live with that. You see loads of people with different coloured skate tights on over their skates it can't be that big a deal.

  3. I have never heard of any restrictions on the color of a boot's heel in any competition.  Color or finish is a personal preference.  Most often the heel, normally made of compressed leather, is a natural color or can be stained darker of preferred.

  4. it doesnt not matter what colour of heel is on your boot for the skates. I Think it would just be your personal/ you coaches personal preference..for what type/brand of skate you want....different brands comes with diferent coloured heel.. But it shouldnt even matter what colour they are...it matters on how you skate :)

  5. nope :D isi is more recreational than usfsa but i doesn't matter for usfsa either

  6. The ISU doesn't hand out penalizations regarding the color of your skates and from what I read of the 1999 USFSA rulebook (I'm sure that part of the rulebook hasn't changed in all these years), they don't either. The mexican system doesn't have a rule against it either.

You could skate to Tosca with bright pink skates with gold polkadots all you want and the judges can't do legally anything to downgrade you. In the amazing case they did, you can file a complaint.

While uncommon, you can see ladies skating with beige or black boots and men with white boots (though in the latter case it's mostly because black boots are harder to get in some places than white boots because of the male to female skater ratio). I've known some skaters who skate with pink and gold boots. Not that I'd wear them myself, but it just shows you don't get penalized because you don't wear white boots.

  7. hi there,

I've been a competative skater for years and I've never had a problem with heel colour, also, as an assistant coach, none of our competitive juniors have been chastised for boot heel colour either.

When you compete, judges are marking you more on your skating ability than your dress sense.

  8. It usually does not matter. Talk to your coach and your club. Good Luck

  9. I was at an ISI competition today and there was one skater with bright red boot covers over her boot and heel! Definitely there's no requirement. It's a matter of your own personal taste - and what your skates look like. I can't imagine trying to change the heel color.

  10. It does not matter. You can put whatever color of skates on.
