  1. I'm an ice skater and ice skating really doesn't give you muscles, but you do need muscles to do it.

  2. I'm sure you'll be able to get some benefit from it.  Ice skating is good for endurance and lower body strength.  It's also a weight bearing exercise which is good for bone stregthening.  I think that if you're interested you should just try it and see how you like it.  No matter what, I'm sure that doing any other sport, not only ice skating will give you some extra beneifts.

  3. o gosh

    a body builder/figure skater

no offense but...they just dont fit together

    yes...u have to have muscles

but last i checked- body builder arent very graceful

    or flexible

i am a figure skater but i also play lacrosse and run every morning when i wake up

im not sure which i got my abs/leg muscles from...probably a combo of all three

i would suggest speed skating or hockey

    not figure skating

there are some benefits im sure...but you might make a fool out of yourself

    i hope this helped!

  4. flexibility.

bodybuilding muscles are strong but less flexible.

figure skating muscles are strong and you can move them any way you feel like.

im not saying figure skating will turn you into a pretzel.

and it will also give you balance to give better poses in bodybuilding competitions.

also, its rigorous activity, it increases stamina, and muscle strength (try doing 4 minute programs at top speed with 3 spins and 6 triple jumps pulled in, while doing double runthroughs.)

  5. using my dads acount...... I am a figure skater, and when i skate,  i feel my muscles working. But, you also need muscles to be able to skate. But if you are working very hard and doing moves over and over again, then you will surely build some muscle. Especialy if you are doing a high spiral. And sometimes, your muscles hurt from figure skating. And remember, every sport can build some muscle. Its only up to you to give in the effort it needs.

    PS. Hope this helps.

  6. All I can say is, the bigger you are the harder you'll fall!

  7. it is just like some kind of top spinning.
