Icebuster preferred in Racing Plus - The Best Weekend Action Handicap at Kempton
According to the betting forecast, Fourth Generation, Icebuster and Moderator have been named as co-favourites for Wednesday’s Racing Plus - The Best Weekend Action Handicap at Kempton. All three contestants are equally dangerous and therefore, the punters
are in seriously confusion.
Our calculations suggest that Icebuster deserves the preference. On his previous start here, the Rod Millman-trained did a great job. In September’s Martin Collins Enterprises Handicap, he shared the podium.
The contest for the third place was very interesting. Refractor was among the toppers, but Icebuster under James Millman snatched the third position in the dying moments of the race.
His latest ride was not a great one, but he did reasonably well to claim the fifth spot. In Wolverhampton’s 32Red Handicap, he was slowly into stride. The 3-1 chance held up thereafter and although he ran well inside the final furlong, it was very difficult
for him to challenge the leaders.
He is likely to enjoy a smooth passage here. Judging on the last two starts, it is quite obvious that he is back in form, and will be a hard nut to crack. He is up against 13 rivals in the 1-mile 4-furlong meeting.
Fourth Generation does have a significant role to play. The 5-year-old is coming to this after showing a couple of fine shows at Wolverhampton. After sharing the podium in style, the Alan Swinbank-trained continued the good work, and captured the second
place last time. He missed the gold only by a neck’s distance.
Moderator is also in decent form. Ahead of missing the crown only by a head’s distance at Wolverhampton, the 3-year-old took a handsome 3¼-length triumph at Epsom. Gary Moore’s charge is fully determined to offer more.
It is going to be a three-way battle. Fourth Generation is consistent on the AW, but had no luck of late. So, a slice of luck is required. Moderator narrowly failed off 3lb lower at Wolverhampton last time.
Both runners have a few questions to answer. So, the vote goes to Icebuster, who is showing continuous improvement these days. We wish all the very best to the participants.
