  1. i think syrup is something that sinks to the bottom of it and sauce mixes in.

  2. syrup is thinner than sauce. also a caramel sauce will usually have milk or cream in it to thicken it up in the cooking process. i would take the sauce over the syrup. caramel syrup is just sugar and water cooked down to almost burning the sugar. if you add cream to that mixture (and a bit of butter if your making candies) and cook it down to a thick consitency, it turns it into caramel sauce.

  3. Really a sauce should only be used for blended (frapps)drinks and syrups should be used for hot or iced drinks. So, ask for syrup and have them put a bit of sauce at the bottom. It's good that way.

    Good luck

  4. I used to work at Starbucks.

The syrup is the very "liquidy" kind that comes in the Torani bottles that they pump out according to recipe.

The sauce is the thick and gooey stuff that they pour on top for decoration.

The caramel mocha comes with both.

  5. syrup is what is in the pumps, liquid. the sauce is what goes on top of frappucinos, like on a candy apple.

  6. dont no but that sounnds good

  7. I assume the syrup would be like caramel flavored [liquid] sugar, and the sauce would be actual caramel sauce (like the type you would get on a sundae).

  8. I'm not so sure. But every Starbucks is different, and the things they'll ask you will be different too.

  9. They have caramel syrup- which is watery- and they have caramel sauce- which is the thick creamy stuff they drizzle on the top of caramel macchiatos. Go with the sauce.
