  1. whats ich? like gross stuff? you can go to the pet store and ask someone about it,and they have junk that you can clean it with

  2. If it was actualy Ich (which is a specific parasite) then the infection will die off if there are no fish in the tank for a week (at tropical temps). This is becasue all the parasites will hatch, not find a host, and die after 4 or 5 days.

But if your fish died of something else, and many people call any fish illness Ich, then that wont be as effective.

In that case clean out the tank with vinegar and then let it dry out in the sun. The vinegar will kill most bacteria and fungus, and any residue left will be harmless to the fish.

When you set up the tank again make sure you research how to set up the nitrogen cycle in it. Poor water quality, especially in a new tank, is the most common reason for fish deaths.

  3. no this wont cure the problem, you may pick up more harmful substances.clean the tank with treatment suitable for aquariums.in future carry out regular water changes, this should include cleaning the substrate[gravel].any plants could be rinsed prior to planting.this would remove any harmful hangers on.ich can also be limited by raising the temperature.

  4. No, bleach the ******* tank.

  5. dont bleach it!! just go to your pet shop and buy ich cure its like $10 and its so easy you just put in a few drop every 3 days and it kills any white spot
