  1. geldin has been neuterd and a stallion hasent(one can have babys one cant)

    no

dont understand, horse care is important, if u dont think its getting the care it needs go somewhere else, u want ur horse to be happy

  2. A gelding is, as others have said, a male horse that has been fixed or gelded.  He can't make foals.  A stallion is an untouched male horse, who can breed and make foals.  Stallions, if not handled properly, can be a lot more trouble than geldings, generally.  Many stables will not allow a stallion on the property because they are big and strong and can jump and knock down fences in their determination to get to mares (female horses).

No problems with morgans that aren't due to personality of the horse.  Many are very nice horses.

The stable I ride at does not have stalls, but they have shelters, and the horses seem very happy.  I agree with the earlier poster, that care of the horse can be more important than just facilities.  My horse doesn't actually use his shelter except to get out of the sun,  in colder climates, he might use it to get out of the wind or wet.

I would not condition keeping a horse on the presence or lack of a stall alone, I'd be more concerned with over all care.

    Good luck!

  3. All I can answer is the first question

Stallions are male horses that are studded

Geldings are young male horses, but im not sure the exact ages.

  4. A Gelding is a Neutured stallion. It is a male whos reproductive parts are removed and therefore cannot reproduce, and acts less "hot headed" A stallion has all its male parts and can be wild and hot

The only problem i have with a morgan horse is that when i put certain riders on them, they are too small for them, but otherwise no tempermant issues

    I would suggest moving stables

Horses dont neccisarily have to have a stall. Acutally being in a pasture with some sort of 3 sided structure is better for them . Not being couped up in a stall is better for health issues.

  5. Gelding- Male horse that cant breed or is "fixed"

Stallion- Male horse that can breed and isnt "fixed"

I know a few Morgan horses and they are very gentle and sweet but it really depneds on the horse not the breed.

If there are no stalls it doesnt matter you can keep your horse in a paddock or pasture.

TIP: If your getting ready to own a horse and you dont know the answers to your questions, I reccomend you do a little research. Dont rush into it but good luck. I am just recieving my first horse tomarrow after working my butt off for the past 4 years!

    Good Luck!

    :)

  6. well you got the staillion part down now I think

Id go to teh otehr stable

and i do have a problem with morgans I hate them I hate there personality and there disposition. and there look. but thats my opinion

  7. a gelding is "fixed" and a stallion isnt

particular breeds never have problems its just the ppl taking care of them.

stalls are VERY importiant to id go next door

  8. A gelding is a male horse who has been castrated. A stallion is a male horse who still has everything he was born with.

All of the Morgans I've ever seen are very pretty, although I've never handled one. My friend rode one once and said he was lovely.

I'm not quite sure of what you're asking in the third question. You ride at a stable that has no stalls, but there's a barn nearby that does have stalls...and you want your horse to have a stall? I guess you could move your horse to the other barn, but if you really like the barn where you're riding at now, then letting your horse live in the pasture really isn't that bad. It's more natural, and the horses seem to like it as long as there's everything he needs out there.

  9. a gelding is a fixed stallion.

    morgans are amazing

    switch stables!

  10. A stallion is "intact" or can breed a mare.

A gelding is NOT "intact" and therefore can't make a mare pregnant and...but he MIGHT show intrest in her.

I ahve no problems with any breed of horse, but I have neve really been around and Morgan horses.

I don't really understand what you are asking in the third question...I would go to whichever stable had a better enviroment, healthier horses, and nicest facility if that si what you are asking? I don't exactly get that one lol...maybe you can rephrase it :)

**If the place WITHOUT the stalls takes better care of your horse I would stay there. Stalls aren't a neccesity (horses CAN live without them belive it or not) but if you want your horse in the stall, then go ahead and move him/her...but I am sure it is more expensive than the one without. Also, make sure yuour horse is still getting good care, just because one place has nicer facilities doesn't mean they take better care of the animals.

    Good Luck...and hope I helped :)

  11. A difference between a gelding and a stallion is a gelding is gelded and can't make babies. A stallion is over the age of three and can mate and make babies with a mare. Hope this helps. Morgans are amazing. If i were you i would switch stables.

  12. Gelding is a horse that has been "fixed" they are usually calmer and don't have the hormones which makes them easier to handle and also makes them usually crazy when around mares.

Stallions are intact and can breed people don't normally get them to ride or show...

It all depends on how the horse was trained and raised there usually isn't a problem horse its usually a problem rider/handler...

If you don't like how your horses are kept or where move them to a place that has all of the things you want in a boarding stable... Stalls are usually pretty important when you have a horse or at least its more convenient for the owner.

  13. A gelding is a castrated/neutered male horse. They are gelded because they are not quality breeding material, the owner does not need another stallion or does not want to breed or own a stallion, and also to give them a more mild temper and personality.

A stallion is an uncastrated male horse. Who may or may not be used for breeding.

A stud is a term for a stallion who is used for breeding.

I have never had any problems work with or owning a Morgan. They are are a wonderfull breed. But, they can have health problems just like any other breed of horse.

Changing stables is up to you. Just because another place has stalls does not mean that the horses will be taken care of better or that the lessons will be better.

You have to take many factors into concideration. Things like, price, avalibility, knowledge of the employees, how the horses are taken care of and treated, etc...And you have to think about your horse's well being. Will he be more happy confined in a stall possibly most of the time?

If your horse is being taken care of very well, and the staff at the place you are at is knowledgable and treats the horses and you well, I wouldn't move just for the sake of a stall.

A horse does not need a stall. They are happy and tend to actually be healthier and more well rounded when in a paddock or pasture. All they need for shelter is a 2 or 3 sided run it so that they can get out of the cold or sun for a while.

Apperances can be deceiving and the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
