Id like to get a normal wire headphone to work on my ps3?

So i havn't tried much, but im hoping that maybe if i use this

i can plug my pc headphones into it and use the mic but also get the game sound in the headphones. like if im playing call of duty 4. well let me know if anyone has tried this, or if they know of a way to do that. im not sure if there is just some headphones designed for the ps3 that does that

My brother got a USB headset that is modeled after an NFL coaches headset, and it was made for PS2 but there's no reason it won't work for PS3.  I think something like that would be easier because you wouldn't have to set it up like you would with that different USB device that you found.

This is a cheap one but basically what I'm talking about.  Sorry if you've already looked at these and don't want them.

dude, that device wont work. u can get a PS2 mic for like 10$. the PS2 mic's work on the ps3 as well with no malfunctions.....i use a logitec mic made for Madden 04 lol

Just buy any USB headset.
