Id this Pudge/Farnsworth trade terrible for the Yankees or is it just me?

Pudge is past his prime and Farnsworth was starting to be great. Molina is a great defensive catcher and the YAnks have enough offense.

Farnsworth is a psycho. Even though Pudge’s skills are not what they used to be, he will be a good defensive catcher and will allow Molina some rest.

The trade is a steal for the Yankees..Farnsworth is very, very replaceable..If that was a fantasy league trade it would be veteod!!

me and you are the only people in the world who agree. i dont agree with molina becuase i dont think he can handle eevry day, but farnsworth was our 8 inning guy so unless the yankees pull off another trade it will be a dumb thing to do! and i dont think the yankees are getting washburn :(

i think it was a STUPID move by the yankees!!

it's like ok, we are having trouble with our pitching... we should focus on pitchers... so what do we do?

we get rid of a pitcher?!

granted, farnsworth has his ups and downs, but it was not worth it.

we might as well have gotten paul lo duca instead of pudge who is was great BACK IN THE DAY.

i'm so angry about this!!!

i think molina has shown that he is a good, reliable pitcher.  

(i may just be upset with the yankees right now because with the exception of joba, moose, and andy the pitching is horrible and they are throwing away the playoffs.  :-(  )

Pudge may not be the offensive threat he once was,but hes still one of the best Catchers in the game that Pitchers love to have behind the plate.T he Yankees came out on top in this one.

This trade is a great move for the Yankees.

Jorge Posada is out until 2009. Not only are his plate services out, but his bat is a huge loss.

No one knows if Molina could handle catching nearly every day, plus he can't bat to save his life.

Kyle Farnsworth was not starting to get good. He hit a little streak, but he'll go back to being awful in due time. He will never be able to locate his pitches and he will never be able to consistently hold a lead.

For Farnsworth, who is essentially nothing, the Yankees got a guy who can catch and also bat. This is a win for the Yankees, especially when you consider that Farns was given to a non-contender. He's so awful and the Tigers are so far back that there's no way Farns can help.

The Yankees scored in this trade. Another win for Brian Cashman.
