Ide hard drive type?

i have an ide 100 harddrive iwould an ide 33 or 133 work as a secondary harddrive or would it not work

  1. Depends on a few things.

    If you run both drives from the same Cable (one as Master, One as Slave) they will only function as IDE100 - the speed of the slowest drive. If you run the 133 drive on an IDE100 connector then you'll only get IDE100 performance whatever.

    IDE33/IDE66 are really slow old standards - for CD drives and the like (which means you shouldn't put a CD drive and Hard Drive on the same cable either)
