Idea for decorating glass vase using gems!?

I have this nice 3 margarita glass bottles which i am planning to use as vases. I have bought some red,white, blue, green colored gem stones to decorate the vases. Any idea as to how should i go about it?

  1. Get a all purpose craft glue like Arlene's Tacky Glue.  Place on back and stick.  Check on back to see if for glass. Last resort Gorilla glue - very strong.
