Idea for things to do in Nottingham?

My boyfriend and I are always stumped for things to do in the evening.

Fed up of just spending the night in watching movies. Going to the cinema is out of the question as we have very different tastes and can never agree on what to watch. Can't always just go out for a drink.

Any ideas of other things we could do?

it's a short drive (well about 45 mins) to sheffield,where there is a huuuge shopping mall there called meadow hall..i went there yesterday and it was awesome,theres a cinema,loads of restaurants and cafes,and loads of stores like primark,republic,topman,new look...etc :)

you could try going to rock city,the venue for erm,rock concerts :P i saw aiden there once,its real fun.tickets can be kinda pricey,around £16 for famous bands such as aiden...but a very fun evening well spent :)

and why not visit sherwood forest..i hear its pretty cool :P

There is an ice rink, a bowling alley, a wheel like the London Eye, pleny of clubs and bars.

I don't live in Nottingham but have been looking for things to do up there when i visit. Theres always the dog racing, restaurant food, good entertainment and winning money cant be bad!!!!! also isn't there a medieval night with free beer and wine, 5 course meal and medieval entertainment?
