  1. One of those books from son to mom saying how special she is or thanking her for taking care of him. I got one of those books for Xmas when my baby was 4 months old and I melted. It made me feel so appreciated, (especially by my husband who obviously picked it out) and it was so nice to read! My husband has never been too good with words and this book said it all!

Of course, a day of pampering will be great as well!

  2. Spa day!

  3. just the fact that your son is getting something for his mum on her birthday is good enough in my opinion. my son was born 4 days after my birthday and people forget about my birthday. i'm happy if even my parents remember it (seriously). i don't really mind though. i always get myself whatever i need hehe. so i wouldn't stress too much about it now that you've remembered her birthday.

spa day is always great. if you want to keep it a little cheaper an indian head massage would be great. or get her a nice mug that says mum or something. like i said it doesn't have to be anything big. she'll be happy you made the effort :)

  4. Get him to make a hand print collage. just dip his hands and feet in finger paints and then let him make another picture on his own, just watch him and make sure he doesn't eat it, it would be REALLY cute.

  5. A day at the spa. Include a facial, massage, manicure, pedi and any other treatment they have. Being a mom is a tough job and being spoiled for a day is nice

  6. A Home made card, with hand prints of your son and maybe a photo,  a fridge magnet saying something nice about being a mum and some flowers.  Does not cost much but it is thoughtful

  7. I was so excited at the prospect of being a Mum that anything with Mummy written on it is fantastic!  A cuddly teddy saying 'i love my mummy' or similar is great as a little gift, but it depends on how much you're wanting to spend.  Most card shops have a great range of gifts for 'mummy' and if not online works too.

For my sister's 30th we got her a card from the clinton cards website that has a picture of her two kids on it and a special birthday message that we had framed.  She loved that!

  8. a spa day!

followed nicely by a night out with you.

  9. A night out with a safe babysitter.

  10. a pampering session make her feel the beautifull mummy she is,

wish some one would have done that for me anyway x

    congrats on the baby x

  11. hand prints on cards is something i love.  IF you want to spend some cash, there's a thing you can do now with lasering crystal blocks and photos so they look 3D.  You'd need to scan a print of your sons hand or take a photo for them.  but you'd need to find out where to get it done - a lot off photographers will do them and malls have stores too, or you could google them.  I want my baby's hand print in it.
