Question:

Ideas For CLASSY and Original Hen Night Games!?

My sister is getting married soon and as her chief hen, the organising of the hen night comes down to me. I've already decided on a people treasure hunt ending up in a bar for champagne then onto a meal, but need ideas for some activities that can be performed whilst we sit and eat. WE DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH PENISES, VIBRATORS, s*x, ETC!! Not that I'm casting aspersions on those who choose that kind of night, but it really isn't for us! I'm looking for ideas for fun, original, not too loud or attention grabbing games and surprises for the bride to be (NO STRIPPERS EITHER!!) to happen during the meal. Money is also an issue for me, so anything I can prepare myself or get others to bring would be perfect!

Thanks :)

  1. I just recently hosted a Hens night that was similar - I had to avoid drinking games as the Bride was pregnant (but wanted to announce it as a surprise at her wedding!) So I had to be creative!

We did a "blindfold" makeover - you could have the Bride nominate a couple of people (don't tell her what for! Just that she needs to pick some people to be "helpers) two to be "Made over" (ours chose her Mother and Mother in Law to Be) and two to be the "Beauticians" (The bride had chosen her sister and another Bridesmaid)... The Beauticians were blindfolded and then given a makeup kit each with eyeshadows, blush, lipstick and brushes (I just bought cheap makeup in really loud garish colours at the $2 shops!) then let loose on the Mum and Mum In Law for 1 minute! It was HILARIOUS! The Mum and MIL weren't allowed to speak, so they couldn't warn their beauticians which colours they were using...

The bride loved it and got some great photos!

We did this toward the end of the night (I was kind enough to pack make-up remover wipes!).

Another game we played was Bridal Bingo... ten random words were printed on cards (like the Groom's name, the Honeymoon destination, the place they first met, her brother's name etc) and if the bride happened to drop them in conversation through the night, they were marked off and the 1st to get all 10 Words on their card (ever card is different) won the bingo... I took token prizes and gifts like chocolates and mini-champagne bottles).

    Good luck and have fun!

  2. We had a lingerie party for a friend of mine. Each girl invited was to bring something for the bride to be to wear after she was married. I was alot of fun. Does your sister have any friends who are married? You can ask them what they did for their nights. I know many girls who prefer to just have an old school sleepover, playing games we did in our early teens and watching girly movies.
