Ideas for London Olympics opening ceremony?

It doesn't matter.  It will not be possible for anyone to top China's ceremony for the foreseeable future.  Who has more money, more people, lower labor costs, and space then China?  Right now....nobody.

And don't give me any of that cr@p that money doesn't make the ceremony.  London is on a shoe-string budget after all the terrorist attacks, inflation, and subprime problems.

Firstly, don't use CGI or lip-syncing singers.

As an Australian it will be interesting to see what the motherland puts together - I'm not sure if having masses of people like Beijing is going to work in the UK, unless it's done differently. They just need to be clever and witty.

well. NO LIP SYNCHING! I'm Aussie and I don't consider Uk as the reason I'm alive. I consider the Uk as much as I do Tibet. Thats alot by the way. Anyway maybe just some real fireworks and something like a  big explosion. And tell our olympians "WE'RE GREEN AND GOLD NOT ******* BLUE!"
