  1. Moulin Rouge is definitely all about bright jewel-toned colors & extravagant fanciful decorations.  How fun!

Drink - All served in wonderfully shaped glass goblets!

    Cocktails -

Champagne cocktails (they're fizzy & so French!) such as Kir Royales.

    Mocktails -

Ginger Ales with a dash of grenadine (red & fizzy)

    Green Rivers (green & fizzy)

    Food -

Finger Food all the way.  Things that people can pick up with their fingers and wander around your party having fun.

How about Brie/Camembert w/ baguette slices?  Or, mini quiches.  Mini cream puffs.  Mini eclairs.  Cocktail sausages wrapped in crescent dough.  Blanched asparagus wrapped in proscuitto then wrapped in phyllo dough and baked until dough is crispy.  For something more substantial, a piece of roast beef that can be sliced by your guests served alongside good solid boulangerie-style rolls for your guests to stuff.

    Decorations -

Posters of Toulouse-Lautrec works if you want to get literal.  Jewel-toned boas that you could sway or festooned on the walls, chandeliers.  Crystal drops to hang off of lamps, sconces, chandelier.  Draping or tying bows of deep colored velvet around your chairs, cheaper than seat covers but still gives the ambience of the belle epoque velvet upholstery.

    Music -

Singer and now 1st lady of France, Carla Bruni's CD - Quelqu'un m'a dit

Ooooh, you & your friends are going to have SO much fun!
