Question:

Ideas for Stag Weekend in Ireland?

I would be grateful for any decent ideas for a stag weekend on the first weekend in June, somewhere in Ireland, doesn't have to be Dublin. Some budget ideas would be great, along with suggestions for accommodation, clubs, pubs or activities. Revellers are travelling from Cardiff. Thankyou in advance!

  1. Good question, I have no idea....( I just need the two points) but good luck with that

  2. Go to Galway, west of ireland good fun

  3. Carlow is a good spot, but so is Galway and Cork, Kilkenny is very good, but very popular.

It's a bank holiday in Ireland the 1st week end in June, so if are booking something , do it now... just letting you know

  4. Kilkenny or Galway are great fun, with an excellent nightlife, as is Cork, but you may not be able to understand their accents there.

  5. Go to galway. The jury's Inn is cheap enough to stay in and it's in the middle of the city or in travel lodge.

the best pubs are taffes, the quays (but go there early enough) the front door and the best night club is Halo

  6. Limerick city is not a bad spot - has a very undeserved reputation. Close to Shannon airport, lots of hotels close to the city centre, lots of pubs.

  7. Check out Carlow - McHughs courthouse hotel..  Cheap and cheerful accomodation with a bar that serves til very very late.. Carlow town, also has one of the biggest bars/clubs in Europe - part of the Din Ri hotel..  I had a weekend there in October - great spot.  Or check out my home town of Galway - excellent city with a very young poplulation...You can fly directly to Galway now with Aer Arann from Cardiff...

  8. Belfast or Derry make good nights out - just do a google search for either city and you will get ideas for where to go etc

  9. Belfast city,,,,pubs and clubs,,,,Thompsons Garage,,,,The Garrick,,,Robinsons,,,The Odessey,,,,Holiday Inn,,,,The Europa,,, Mc Hughes,,,

  10. Hi,

I would check out a company called Rebel Adventures. They organised Accommodation, transport and a whole host of activities for a group of 23 of us around Cork. Great service, nothing was too much trouble and good value.

  11. women booze good buds

  12. I live in Ireland, but if I was to suggest a stag weekend venue I would have to suggest Cork city.  Its a bit cheeper than Dublin, not as busy but still has plenty of pubs, bars, places to see.  And if you are looking to treat the stag at a club (if you know what I mean) there are a few options.

There are none of these bars in Northern Ireland to my knowledge.

  13. if you want to go to Ireland I would go to the North as the Euro in the South makes things very very expensive.  If you go to Belfast the night life is good and it does not have ANY trouble now the peace process is going.  I come from NORTHERN Ireland.  If you go north you can go to the folk museum in Cultra and see how people used to live.  you have the option of many bars and the oldest bar is very Irish and is in the middle of belfast Opposite the Europa HOTEL.  ALSO SEVERAL other hotel within walking distance.  Middle week you can get flights very cheap on www.easyjet.com. going tuesday wed thursday and there is a youth hostel which will be very cheap  Good luck in wedding week end.  Also try online to www.flybe which flies in from cardiff as well good idea to Go on to www.discoverireland.com  GOOD LUCK

  14. Hey ya, Im from Ireland, Dublin is a good place but, as said it can get expensive, also the Temple Bar area of the city is not really that "stag party friendly" anymore, especially english stag parties. Galway is a class place, full of pubs and clubs, and will be considerably cheaper then Dublin. Other than that Cork is pretty cool too. but if I were you I'd prob head to Galway, during College term time, 20% of the population of the "city" are students.......................need i say more, although theres only a few strip clubs, and theyre expensive. for strip clubs and casinos go to dublin. Good luck Bhoy
