Ideas for Titanic theme party?

My husband is fascinated with the Titanic and the story. I would like to do a Titanic theme party but it is so hard to come with any ideas. Can not find any Titanic party themed decorations so if I use solid colors what would most likely represent Titanic? Also what kind of decorating ideas can I use? The party will take place mostly outdoors. I'm thinking about creating an upper class and lower class area as well. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks.

My wife did this back on 12th April this year (OK, not the exact date but the closest Saturday this year). She got tons of help, ideas and stuff from the book "Last Dinner On the Titanic: Menus and Recipes from the Great Liner" by Rick Archbold. Gives you way more than the menu's and recipes.

Seems fairly internationally available by Amazon from what I can tell so check it out either there or in your local bookshop or whatever... costs nothing next to the overall cost of the party!

hard to decorate for the party at home outdoors- any way to rent a boat to have the party on even if it's just for a few drinks and appetizers? we have a boat cruise that travels our local river and they have drinks and stuff on it. or maybe a local dock that you could use for a few hours for a party? would be very different and very memorable for your hubby and guests.

our museum right now has the Titanic exhibit- any museum around you that maybe you can have a field trip party to go see it?

This is going to be a really awkward party, but I guess go for nautical decor, seafood, and have people bring life jackets, if you have lots of $ you could set up tables and seats in rowboats. Good luck with that one :)
